Radiance

Dandy, a real-life Dutch Shepherd that belongs to a friend of my friend. She asked me to draw this beautiful boy as a Christmas present for her friend last year. I have always enjoyed painting lush, colourful Autumn scenes, and this one certainly took it one step further.

This one is so gorgeous. I love all the different colors of autumn that are depicted here. I've always liked how it seems you research your vegetation because you don't paint just one type of plant you paint many and that makes it more believable. I really do love those details in the dog and in the grass below him. Your style is just so fascinating and has really evolved over the years. I know you self taught yourself so it interests me to know you know how to use color. I suppose it gives hope for me because I struggle with it so much.
