Raven Heart


This horse has always been one of my personal favourites from when I drew it almost a year ago. I haven't had the time to spice it up with a suitable background before now, so after about 4 hours of tweaking and painting I ended up with this. I think it sort of suits him :3

Also, I'm thinking my current job is reflecting on my drawing style a bit..

This style does look a little different than your usual works, but I like it. It's more gritty and more stylized (is that the word I'm looking for?) I love the intense highlights on certain feathers in the wings. And that pose is very dramatic. Your use of color here also adds to the piece because it is more monochromatic. I also like how that dark cloud dips so low in the sky and is right next to the lighter clouds. Your work always fascinates me Cerona.
