My final picture of the year 2009! This was another drawing done for my mum as a Christmas present. The title refers to the phenomenon caused by the Earth being tilted at its extreme in relationship to the sun, shortening or lengthening the hours of daylight in the northern or southern hemispheres.
I am quite pleased with how this turned out in the end, but I'm still not quite used to drawing backlit settings. I thought it would make a nice change though. Hope you like it, and I wish all of you a Happy New Year!

This picture made me remember my past as a youth. We had a house named Beauty that looked so much like this. And the background could be taken from the back 40. Wonderful artwork.
When I first saw this I thought this was a -really good- Photomanipulation...To find that It was a -Brilliant- Drawing!!I wish I had half the drawing talent you had. <3
