you guys...

I hadn't realised it's been nearly a year since I last wrote a journal entry, so I guess it's about time I do something about that! A lot has happened in one year, and as many of you have noticed, my absence from DA has sadly been prolonged more than I had hoped. Unfortunately there is just too much going on in my life at the moment for me to have any spare time to engage with the community here again or have any inspiration left over to draw personal stuff to upload and show.

I am currently working - since earlier this Summer - as a concept artist / 3D modeller at a small local games company, still freelance at the moment but at full-time hours. While I do love getting to draw on a daily basis and actually get paid for it too (!) it sadly makes it nearly impossible to sit down and draw for my own sake now. By the end of the 8 hours the last thing I want to do is look at the computer screen or hold a tablet, so that part of my life has been put on hold for now. For those of you familiar with the online SIM game Howrse may have noticed that I do still submit images there every month. The reason I don't upload any of these to DA is because I don't think the quality of these pictures are at my usual standard or even good enough to show here. Usually I don't spend more than a couple of hours on those images for the same reasons as above, and as a result they are very messy close up and not nearly as polished as I would want them to be. I might upload some to see if people still enjoy that style on here too, but they are, as said, very simple compared to my previous works. But maybe it's better than nothing, eh? :3

Me and my fiancé have also just moved into our very first apartment! It's only a rented one as things are a bit too uncertain to settle down and buy something, but at least it's finally something of our own. It's a lot of work getting it up and running, so often in the evenings I barely get a chance to sit down and relax before having to do something to the house, but I hope it'll be worth it.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to all my loyal watchers who haven't given up on me yet! I can't believe you haven't all unwatched me yet or completely given up, and I am hugely grateful for that. I will be back one day, I promise! Also, thank you so very much for the lovely Birthday wishes ♥ I did not expect anyone to remember about it or wish me that, so it was a wonderful surprise that completely made my day.
