ARTIST'S COMMENTS
This is my contest entry for ~Ilyana88's contest. It is for Theme 1, horses and history. The horse in the picture is her gorgeous Apache, ridden by a Native American Chieftan.
I spent a lot of time on this picture, probably more than I have on any other so far. It's just that I think I prioritize a bit wrong.. For example, I spent well over 2 hours on the feathers in the picture, whilst I only spent 20 minutes on the clothing.. And no-ones even gonna care about the feathers! Again, it's done without any reference, apart from the eagle.
I actually quite like how this one came out. It's got that certain atmosphere which I was looking for and I hope others will enjoy it too!
